Family Portrait Month
You may not have known, but October is National Family Portrait Month. In honor of this, I’ve been given the unique opportunity to team up with the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) to participate in a national fundraising effort to raise money for Operation Smile which helps treat children globally living with facial deformities. I will donate a portion of all October sales to Operation Smile to support this organization’s efforts around the globe.
So what does this mean for you? Well, the holidays are right around the corner and if you have been thinking about getting holiday portraits of your family to have and to give as gifts, now is a great time to schedule your sitting so that you will have gorgeous, timeless gifts to give this holiday season. In addition to getting a head start on your family’s holiday gift giving, you will be helping to give the gift of a better life to a child who needs it since a portion of the money from every sitting and portrait package will be donated to Operation Smile.
The organization has been around since 1982 as a charitable organization committed to fixing facial deformities in children. More than 100,000 kids are born with a facial deformity every year internationally and thousands have to forego treatment because of lack of funds.
