I had a wonderful taking portraits of these precious children over the weekend. We waited a long time to have this session as the snow storms kept pushing our sessions back. This morning I received an email from Kim Townsend stating I won their December Holiday Blowout Bash. Boy was I surprised as I remembered contemplating if I should submit my image since I have only been in business for two years.
This is a big accomplishment as my brother and husband has talked me into pursuing my love of photography and children. I have always been interested in learning all I could about the art of photography and I really miss being in the dark room developing film.
I would have never imagined when I was a little high schooler in the photography club that I would have won a contest.

I had a wonderful time meeting up with other photographers in Old Town Alexandria, VA today. Although it was very cold I was able to get a couple of nice photos. It was a pleasure meeting up with some lovely ladies and their children. I am looking forward to the next meet and greet in the spring time.
