Baby As Art…..Excited | Maryland Newborn Photographer
April 22, 2012I am so excited to announce that my photography training will be at the BABYasART Workshop held in July in Canada at a local photographer’s studio called Daniela Berkhout Photography .
I have been following the Baby as Art team which consist of two awesome photographers named Carrie Sandoval and Brittany Woodall. The are known world wide in the photography industry as the baby gurus and I am going to train with them for two days. I have been photographing newborns since August 2011 when I opened my business and I am consistenly working towards prefecting my skills. I am sure I will learn a bunch of little tricks that they use to get those perfect newborn images.
Carrie and Britt has taken pictures of everyday newborns as well as well known celebeties babies such as Pink and Carey Hart’s baby girl, Willow and Ziggy Marley’s children.
I look forward to posting images that were created at the workshop so make sure you stop back as we will be posting images to the blog and facebook.

July 28, 2011We have all thought about this one time in our lives. Hopefully it was not when you was graduating from High School over 10 years ago.
Well every mom including myself, I often worry about this very thing when it comes to scheduling a family photo session. We want to make sure our family looks awesome but also want to make sure the clothes we pick out will not look dated 5 plus years from now. I will often offer suggestions that need to be classic enough for that wall portrait for future generations to love. Therefore we always try to guide our clients to have a wide array of options through our What to Wear Guide. This guide will give you a list of online stores options from Traditional, Modern Classic, Modern Trendy or some Funky Euro style to just name a few. We are here to help you.

It is such an honor and privilege to be able to be welcome into clients’ homes and allow them to sit back and relax while we capture some awesome images. June 6, 2011Ysreal was a sweet little 15 day old baby. He was adamant that he was not going to let me take pictures of him. Every time we would put him day he would give us less than 5 minutes to take a single photo. Although Ysreal gave me a run for my money we were able to get some handsome images.

Snowy Day in Maryland

A snowy day in Maryland. I was so excited to wake up this morning to get out and be able to take a single picture of snow. Days like these bring me back to my childhood days of wanting to go sled riding and making snowmen. I hope you get a chance to enjoy this snowy day. Be safe and have some fun.

January 5, 2011Family…..what do you consider family to be? Is it the nuclear family with a mom, dad, 2.5 kids or is a family to you a blended family household? Well it does not matter because Families today takes on different meanings and it does not mean your family is any less important or valued then the next family structure. A lot of families that I have taken portraits of over the years had different structures : nuclear, single parent, same sex families, adopted and blended families. A Single Photo loves meeting every family and it is a pleasure to tell their family history through portraits.
So….No matter what kind of family you have one thing always rings true and has the same feeling and that is LOVE. Whether it took you a while to conceive or you are a fertile myrtle or you waited months to adopt… remember it does not matter how your family was developed as long as there is love in your family. I find the most pleasure in capturing the newness of a baby from prenatal to the newborn session because I can truly feel the love during their family session.
One of the things that I promise to do is capture life, love, and family in 2011. It does not matter if you decide to go to a professional photographer or take snapshots at home just make sure you capture the love of your family.
